We had a distinguished guest to visit our room. We had B.J. the Parrot visit our classroom. We were studying about birds and learned that birds have feathers; have light, hollow bones; lay eggs with hard shells; care for their young; and are warm-blooded. B.J., who is 21 years old, came and spent the end of day with us so that we could see first-hand a bird up close and personal. He had several words and phrases to say to us. Be sure to ask your child about his visit. Thank you, Mrs. Bradshaw and Ellen, for sharing B.J. with our class.
